Vintyme
YOUR KITCHEN. YOUR POUR.
Privacy Policy
Effective October 13, 2026
Vintyme helps you cook from what you already have. This policy explains what information the app keeps, why, who helps us store it, and how you can delete it. The short version: we keep only what the app needs to work for you, we don't sell it, we don't show ads, and you can delete everything at any time from inside the app.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address and a password. Passwords are handled by our sign-in provider and stored only in scrambled (hashed) form; we never see them.
- What you add to the app: the items in your fridge, pantry and wine cellar; your week plan, grocery list, favorites, "use it soon" items and dinner party plans; and any recipes you write yourself.
- Shared recipe boxes: if you make or join a shared box, its name, the recipes added to it, and the email addresses of the people in it and invited to it. Everyone in a box can see these; no one outside the box can.
- Your preferences: your diet choice, the allergies and ingredients you ask the app to leave out, and the color theme you pick. Allergy choices are used only to hide recipes from you; we don't use them for anything else.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, payment details or advertising identifiers, and the app has no analytics or tracking tools.
How we use it
Only to run the app for you: to sign you in, show recipes that match your kitchen and preferences, save your plans and lists, and keep them in sync across your devices. We may use your email to send messages you ask for, such as a password reset or an email confirmation link.
Who helps us run the app
We use a small number of service providers, who process data on our behalf only to provide their service:
- Supabase stores your account and the information listed above in our database.
- Vercel hosts the app's web pages. Like any website host, it may keep short-term technical logs such as IP addresses and browser type.
- Google Fonts and jsDelivr deliver the app's typefaces and a code library. When your device loads them, those services receive your IP address, as with any website.
We don't sell, rent or share your information with anyone for marketing or advertising.
On your device
The app saves a few things in your browser's local storage so it opens quickly: your sign-in session, your chosen theme and a copy of the recipe collection. This stays on your device. It isn't used to track you.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, your login and everything stored with it are removed from our database right away. Copies in our providers' routine backups are overwritten on their normal schedule.
Deleting your account
In the app, go to Profile โ Account โ Delete my account and confirm. This permanently deletes your account, kitchen, cellar, plans, lists, favorites and your own recipes, and removes you from any shared recipe boxes. Boxes you created are deleted along with their recipes, for everyone in them. Recipes you added to other people's boxes stay there unless you delete them first. It can't be undone. You can also email us to ask for deletion.
Your choices and rights
You can see and change everything you've added directly in the app, and you can delete it at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, such as asking for a copy of your information. To make a request, contact us using the address below.
Security
Your information travels over encrypted connections, and our database only lets each signed-in person read and change their own records, plus the shared recipe boxes they belong to. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a password you don't use elsewhere.
Children
Vintyme is meant for adults, and parts of it are about wine and cocktails. It isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll let you know in the app.
